As a youth pastor, I have struggled with providing worship through music for my teens. I am not musically talented so we went years without having the ability to do worship. Lately, we have had a group that is very talented in music, so it made it possible for us to do worship through songs.
I found out that many youth pastors struggle in this same area, so this is how Downpour got started. Downpour is the name of our teen worship band that started traveling around to area youth groups, to help provide for them the opportunity to worship through music. We had a great demand for these services so we started a monthly fellowship and worship night. It has been awesome to see area teens and churches come together united with the same goal: to bring glory to Jesus Christ.
